Foreign idioms?
DustyMcDustbuster · 27/01/2019 20:26
Do any of you have any funny foreign language idioms? I particularly love the French for loads of their’s, but this is my favourite.
J’ai une taupe au guichet.
I have a mole at the checkout.
Or... I’m touching cloth.

Nope! But putting phrases and songs in to Google translate is fun! Name a quote or song and a language and I'll send back what it says if you like, or the best of rather x

Drum roll please
Duh dum dum dum
I love your shape
We feel like a magnet
Even if my heart comes too
I'm in love with your body

DustyMcDustbuster · 27/01/2019 23:00
@Kitty haha. Bit fucking underwhelming though.
@redexpat no, I haven’t. I love idioms, they’re so expressive. The French have another about periods which translates to “the English have landed”
Kittycuddles · 28/01/2019 08:27
I know they normally are so good when they are rude though!

@mammmamia the French is “les Anglais ont débarque”
It’s based on the English wearing red coats... 😂
