In general I like films that have Tom Cruise, Michael Douglas, Kevin Spacey, Robert De Niro, Harrison Ford. Just off the top of my head.

David Jason in anything and everything that he has ever done. Talk about the best of british.

David Jason, definitely, and last Spring I saw David Tennant in Look Back In Anger at Bath- very impressed, difficult part too.

Too many good character and comedic British actors to mention; all of The League of Gentleman cast, Jenifer Suanders and Joanna Lumely for a start

Gene Hackman is one of my favs - love him in The Royal Tenenbaums.
I also like Derek Jacobi - recently saw him on stage as Prospero and he was awesome.
