Not seen it but have taken DD to theatre at that age, how long does show last?? Does your 2.5 really really enjoy Peppa on the telly? It may be a bit of a shock to see Peppa in 'real life' and to concentrate for a long time but if she really really likes it (I dont know one child who does'nt tbh) then you should have a great time but your DC might end up sitting on your knee the whole show.
Also if you do go make sure everyone goes the toilet first... that was so annoying when I first took DD to theatre, rush to toilet in dark.. find way back in dark... miss vital part of story

Do you mean the Peppa Pig puppet show which is currently touring theatres? I took dd, 2.3 to see it recently and she really enjoyed it even though it was a bit longer than I expected and we had a twenty minute interval stuck in the middle of it as well.

Sorry, just seen your link, yes that is the same one we saw and your theatre doesn't seem to have an interval which is better at that age imo. If your dd likes watching Peppa Pig then I'm sure she'll enjoy it, (is very dull for the adults, even though the puppeteers are excellent and very expressive).

My DS was only 14MO when he saw it. We went with a nearly 3 YO and a nearly 4YO and they all LOVED IT.

In a theatre that must have had 200+ kids in it, I only heard one kick off.

It is as dull as dishwater for adults and it's sort of a bit weird too... You DO have to suspend reality and remember that this is for preschoolers!!

I'm planning on taking DS again. I think the interval works well, as it's a chance for them to have a snack, drink, charge around.

I would def. recommend it.

They sing a song there:

You gotta clap your hands (clap clap clap)
Stamp your feet (stamp stamp stamp)
Turn around in time to the beat (turnaround)

DS still does all the actions to that song!

Thanks all, they still have tickets left so think I will take them (also have a 4yr old) this afternoon.

Enjoy! I wish I was in Harrogate this afternoon

DaisyFitz · 27/03/2010 09:11

how long is the show on for though? An hour?

Ewe · 27/03/2010 09:16

Took my DD, just before she turned two and she LOVED it! She sat completely still and was totally enthralled, if your child loves Peppa then I would definitely recommend it.

Merchandise is ££££££ though, as you would expect at these things!
