Saw it today, can really recommend it. DS (nearly 4) enjoyed the monsters and spaceships and slapstick comedy, great special effects etc (though could be scary for some kids and 4 is probably the lower limit - some explosions, giant robot etc) - I loved the overtly ballbreaking feminist plot and totally OTT anti-US-warmongering satire. Plus comedy references to every monster and sci-fi film ever made. Really good.
