I've always been fascinated by this photographer - wondered whether anyone else was interested or knows her work

saw her stuff at the old saatchi galleries up on Boundary Rd. I think it has its place, especially when its so autobiographical. I don't know how she has developed really. I wasn't keen on seeing the drug addicts / prostitutes exhibition because I was preg and not up for such things.

I remember seeing a lot of her work when I was a bookseller and in charge of art and photography section - fascinatingly grim and brutal and seedy

I love Nan Goldin's work! MAS hope you see this - only just discovered Culture Vultures section.
I saw a show some years ago that included that whole series of her after her bf beat her up - awful but brilliant - and lots of her transvestite/transgender friends.

hi - just came back to this thread by chance - I am just fascinated by the gritty seediness of it all..and her.

But there is great warmth and vitality her photos, despite desperate lives portrayed, that's what I like.
