Absolutely. Blown. Away.

Just back. Four of us went, total agreement. He was amazing, everything about it was brilliant

Thank you. I really enjoyed seeing him in Othello.

I’ve had a huge crush on him for years.

Oh this might be a place to ask - I am hoping to book tickets tomorrow for The Tempest in Stratford next year. It's years since I've been able to get to the RSC and I have no idea how much tickets cost these days. I want to set myself a budget so I don't get panicked/carried away and spend more than I should.

Can anyone give me a rough steer on what I should be thinking?

Came on to say this. I think my favourite production.

They’re between £25 ish and £75 - don’t worry about a restricted view seat - the theatres are small and you’ll still get a good view. I’d avoid gallery 2 if in the RST as it’s quite high up, but that’s a personal choice.

Thank you so much. I used to go up to Stratford regularly with my late mum as a teen - I think my first one was Kenneth Branagh as Hamlet. We've been in the trenches with complicated kids for years and I am just starting to be able to get away sometimes again. Seeing Branagh as Prospero feels like a great way to start.

Agreed I’ve got tickets for the tempest and the cherry orchard

@Kayemm the director/adapter was interviewed on Times Radio I think it was on Sunday with Alexis Conran - it made me want to watch it!

Just got back from seeing Cyrano de Bergerac. It was absolutely fantastic. Adrian Lester is incredible. On until 15th Nov but there are virtually no tickets left sadly. Tonight’s performance was being filmed so hopefully it’ll be televised at some point. What a treat.

Stage to screen cinema/local theatre probably? I need to get back into the habit of going to those.

@JustAMiddleAgedDirtBagBaby I also saw that Stratford production of Hamlet with Kenneth Branagh. Still remember how good it was.

Just thought I’d bump this as it’s transferring to London this summer. I highly recommend seeing it. Adrian Lester and Susannah Fielding are fantastic. It’s funny and incredibly moving.

lifeisgoodrightnow · 17/02/2026 04:43

It was excellent. Don’t think they gave him enough time to discuss it on Graham Norton.
