hmm - too late to join the game. i knew it was shakespeare but i wouldn't have got the play. i was thinking merry wives. anyone see the recent (ish) rsc version with haydon gwynn (sp?)? she was fab - and such lovely shoes!

i once saw coriolanus performed in hornsey baths, actually in a defunct old deep swimming pool. hard on the arse, the old spectator seats were, but bloody good venue: they were able to make the floor run with blood, just as it should

them were the days, you could smoke in audiences. and in fact i smoked back then.

I just read Bill Bryson's book on Shakey, thought it was good but I did have a friend whose dad was convinced the bard was the Earl of Oxford
