What stage play is this?

It is set in a house converted into flats. The main set is the ground floor flat, but you can also see the heads of people in the basement flat, and the feet of people in the first floor flat.

Possibly about 3 couples, or 2 couples and 2 singles.

Think it was Alan Ayckbourn, Things We Do For Love.

Brilliant - thank you!

You're very welcome! What made you think of it? (I love Alan Ayckbourn.)

Dinner table discussion about the set and the way certain actors did things in a play we saw recently (Blythe Spirit), which led to a discussion on how much leeway the director has, which led to me pointing out that some writers can be very prescriptive about how their play is staged, eg Things We Do For Love.

Interesting! Blithe Spirit is another great play, and the old film of it was an absolute howl.
