Art exhibition for 5 year old?

DS has really got into drawing and art and he wants to seem some "pictures" by famous people. I am afraid I am pretty clueless... any ideas on somewhere that might be suitable. We are near Bristol but visiting London over half term. Thanks

the National Portrait Gallery has art that is very appealing to all ages - Trafalgar Square, London. You're also near the National gallery then. And he could do some brass rubbings - an easy way to achieve some very impressive art - in the crypt of St Martin in the Fields which is also there. and there's a lovely cafe. easy!

Might not be what you are (or ds!) is after but Tate modern in good for children (space to run around etc).

There's so many places tbh! Are you planning to be/visit places in central London?

Or the Tates do an art trolley for children on weekends and during school holidays wherby they are given a pack of free art materials which they can use while looking at the exhibitions

We went to library today and looked at a Picasso book... "ooh look mummy, boobies!"
