I saw it too - would have preferred to not have had all the pre-amble telling us exactly what it was about though. That could have been done separately. Would prefer to have watched it first.

yes i agree @Rafting2022 but it didnt ruin it - just lengthened it
it was their most popular live stream since start of pandemic and there will be an encore

I agree she's amazing, should be required viewing for us all, especially young people. I felt the portrayal of how consent can change in one evening absolutely spot on, and how easy it is to make that questionable in a legal setting.

She's incredible that she was able to bring that to life without anyone else being in it!

It didn’t ruin it but I’d rather have had the choice to watch the play not knowing a great deal about it in advance. The discussion could have been shown at the end for anyone who wanted to stay on.

I saw it last night too. It was so good. Jodie was brilliant such a powerful performance. All those words, the rhythm, pace and emotion, and the energy. And she made it real. The writing was so very good.

It was an emotional rollercoaster but goodness me it did show how consent changes, and also how badly the system doesn’t work.

shocking about the consent,
they knew she was drunk and he wasnt as he was able to carry her.

It was absolutely amazing. The story and what it highlighted about consent and our legal system. But Jodie Comer, wow! She's our Meryl Streep I think. A proper national treasure.

I subscribed to NT at Home and watched this in Saturday. Jodie is just incredible.

There really is something about theatre that makes me respect the actor's craft so much more than TV. There's no takes. How do they do that?. Remember all of those words and choreography?

I saw Fleabag live on Amazon prime as it had a few theatre things a while ago. Pwb was amazing too.

But I find Jodie just utterly compelling..she's amazing.

Amazing how she did this with no one else on the stage, and so much energy too - the performance of a lifetime for her, so pleased that she won.

I saw and loved it. She fully deserves the award. Also, how did she remeber all those lines without any other dialouge to prompt her ?!?
