If you have seen &Juliet with your children what age are they? When I look up the age rating online some sites say 6+ and some say 12+ so it's quite a difference. DD is 8 and has seen Frozen, Lion King, School of Rock and Wicked as well as various other shows at local theatres, but wouldn't let her watch a 12 rated film so not sure whether it would be suitable.

It depends how comfortable you are with bad language. There is a song called Fuckin Perfect and a couple of other f's and shits.

Definitely a 12+. No idea why sites are saying 6 as there is a fair bit of swearing and sexy stuff.

Swearing doesn't bother me so much, it's more about the themes and whether that's suitable.

Oh dear. I've booked this for me and my family for August and none of mine like swearing 😯

There is also a trans character and some questioning of sexuality so you may have a bit of explaining to do around that too.

I’d thoroughly recommend seeing it, it’s a fantastic show - really uplifting & feel-good. I went alone the first time to vet it & will be taking my 8 & 12 year olds too see it during the summer hols too.

I went to see it with my 14 & 11 yo, and my mum and stepdad, everyone really enjoyed it and I don’t recall feeling anything remotely uncomfortable, it’s not explicit or anything. There is a teen love story, so I wouldn’t think it would appeal to younger children particularly. Having said that my 11yo still thinks kissing is gross but was blown away by the music, costumes and sets are also gorgeous.
