Arrival time at Theatre

Wonder if anyone can help

I've just booked tickets for Come From Away at the beginning of September, looking at my ticket booking, it starts at 7.30pm but says that my allotted arrival time at the theatre is 6.00pm to allow for the safe movement of patrons around the building.

Does anyone know if I really have to be at the theatre 90 mins before the show starts? Is this standard now?

That can’t be right!! I’d call them to clarify to be honest, I go to the theatre after work do not way I’d be able to make that time. I had a 7 to 7:15 arrival slot for the theatre last week but we were there at 7:20 and everyone was just going in en masse anyway.

I’ve got the same!( for a different theatre). The website says you need to arrive 90-60 mins before the 7.30 start and our tickets say allotted time is 6pm…I might take a picnic…

It’s silly, because once everyone is in there, moving around and queuing for the loo, there will be no scope for social distancing at all anyway, believe me.

I’d aim to be there about an hour before as the new checks can take a little bit of time. But personally I wouldn’t arrive at 6pm.

Make sure yo go to the loo! As you are probably aware there is no interval and the queues are long afterwards!

I can't give advice on the time slot but its a fantastic show. We loved it when we saw it in London and would definitely see it again

I was at a theatre yesterday, I passed at 6pm and saw people starting to arrive. Came back about 6:45pm, was seated by 7pm

Arriving that early, when do people eat?

I've just booked tickets telling me to get there for 6, I'm not impressed
