Can anyone remember what it's called, was released a few months back and ds wants to see it, but I can't remember what it's called. Anyone, please.

The Lives of Others (Das Leben der Anderen). Fabulous film.

I heard that the character who plays the Stasi policeman died shortly after of stomach cancer. Wonderful actor, terrible loss (if true).

It got really good reviews, didn't it and I wanted to see it at the time. Last night ds and I were having a conversation about a member of my extended family who was in the stasi and he said he'd like to see it.

I think it may now be available on dvd - not sure. It was at the Curzon cinemas for a while.

Yes I was thinking dvd, he's of an age where going to the pictures with your mother is not 'a good thing'
