I thought it was time to move over here from Telly Addicts as we're now discussing Joseph the musical, and not Any Dream Will Do. The other thread was about to get too full anyway.

Sigh this time 6 years ago we'd have been back from our sandcastle competition on the beach, I hadn't noticed the black tar on my wedding frock and had not yet got the grass stains We'd be having tea and cake thinking about getting changed for the Elvis themed Kareoke BBQ (my outfit only needing the addition of some sideburns as I was going to wear that dress ALL day!)
We'd have been looking froward, in error, to the honeymoon...I wonder how it would have felt to have a flash forward 6 years to see me fatter, feeding 2 children a not so nourishing omlette, ds sitting there repeating over and over, 'Grrrr, because I said so...' for no apparant reason, squeezing yet more Mumsnet in as I hardly see anyone anymore, surrounded by chaos....it wouldn't have looked good but it's great really

oggsfrog · 23/08/2007 19:44

So have you had a nice day then Berrie

Going anywhere nice for your meal tomorrow? Do you have a babysitter lined up?

Berrie · 23/08/2007 20:58

yes yes and yes Oggs, thanks! Off to bed now though...feeling a little weary.

oggsfrog · 24/08/2007 06:51

Nah, just googled Rupert and he's not dark and brooding enough for me

Berrie · 24/08/2007 08:14

Mmmmm I googled him too after the programme and I know what you mean. I don't usually go for blondes (sorry dh ) I think you had to see him doing his Austin thing, which is not much...just looking mean and brooding. Daft isn't it, if dh was all mean and brooding I'd be more likely to give him a slap than shag him

Berrie · 24/08/2007 08:19

Now hold it aaallll in knickers. Shall I go and get a pair for romantic meal tonight and then wedding? My memory of them is (the knickers) that they just remind you uncomfortably all night how fat you are whereas after the 2nd drinkie without them, you've forgotten how fat you are, unless you are trying to look good for someone/ something, which I'm not...(no awkward questions please about how I would know this if I've been with dh since I was 16)???

BoingBoing · 24/08/2007 10:02

16 !!!! I don't like to be rude, but you've been together since then? Wow!!!! Having, ahem, spent my 20s meeting lots of eligible chaps , until settling for my very own dark brooder, I'm impressed!

Berrie · 24/08/2007 10:10

Are you really impressed Boing and if so why?
I wouldn't be without him but I feel more pity than impressedness!

BoingBoing · 24/08/2007 10:14

No, it's definitely not pity - I am really impressed that you're still with someone you've known since you were 16 and are still together and are still happy. That takes some doing in this day and age - good for you!!!

I had to kiss a hell of a lot of frogs, which isn't necessarily the fun it's cracked up to be!

Berrie · 24/08/2007 10:18

The last 10 years have been a lot better than the first 10
I just felt I was missing out then and didn't really have the confidence to move on. We're very happy.

Berrie · 24/08/2007 10:21

Not that I wanted to move on I've always always loved him, I just liked the thrill when someone fancied me and was curious to pursue it...

BoingBoing · 24/08/2007 10:23

!!!

Oooh, just remembered - I hope you've got your radio set for Radio 2 tonight. 7.30pm. I'll wind up the old casette recorder....should be good I think.

Berrie · 24/08/2007 10:26

Oh we will be out....can I play it back ont tinternet?

BoingBoing · 24/08/2007 10:39

I don't know, but I guess the Listen Again thing should work, although sadly not in my neck of the woods!!!

Berrie · 24/08/2007 10:41

Boing do you not have internet at home? I hadn't realised...Cornwall isn't that much of the sticks is it? Nah...you must have dial up...is that what you mean, too expensive to do listen again?

Berrie · 24/08/2007 10:42

Am I being thick ?

BoingBoing · 24/08/2007 10:52

Selective memory Berrie, it's different.
I'm on dial up, but please don't get me started!!!!! I'm part of the 0.01% of Cornwall that can't get it.

Berrie · 24/08/2007 10:58

Berrie considers googling Cornwall/no broadband to locate chezBoing and wave in hers and Kitty's direction on her way down the A30 . Am feeling rather fond of the old cow now (Kitty that is - )

Berrie · 24/08/2007 11:02

Mmmmmmmm lizard peninsula and Bodmin area looking a little patchy...

Berrie · 24/08/2007 11:03

Mmmmm says you are never more than 10 mins from a broadband hotspot...

BoingBoing · 24/08/2007 11:07

I'm not with my driving!!!! As for the A30!!!! Sweetie, that's a 20 minute drive away!!! You'll never find me, mwahahaha

Berrie · 24/08/2007 11:12

Ah so there's no point bawling BOOOOOOIIIIIING out of the window every 5 minutes then!

You do realise I shall be looking at women in the supermarket with a ds, and black stilletoes, and muttering Boing? at them under my breath to see if I get a reaction!

BoingBoing · 24/08/2007 11:40

ahh. But which supermarket?! And it's kitten heels today

Berrie · 24/08/2007 14:03

Sigh, you're so glam...

BoingBoing · 24/08/2007 14:28

That's not what the kitten says. She wants her heels back!
