Has anyone been to see it? My brother just went and said it was amazing (as someone not really a fan of musicals - I was surprised he was raving about it!). So now, he's cost me £126 as I've just booked to go in September! Ha ha!

clip here

am half way through the book witch is wonderful.

(haha)

BrothelSprouts · 17/06/2007 14:03

we have the soundtrack, but haven't really been able to get into it.

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/06/2007 14:04

I've seen it on Broadway, but not over here. Was absolutely fantastic, so can only hope that they've done a decent job of it here too.

Oh

My

God

I would rather........formula feed than go to see 'Wicked'.

You are barking

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/06/2007 14:39

You so can't mean that moondog .

Can just picture you sitting in the theatre, bottle in one hand, sausage roll in the other, baby on lap.

Cammelia · 17/06/2007 15:10

i've only heard of it because my dd 's easter ballet school did a little show based on some of its songs and dance routines. dd in costume looked like Wednesday from the addams family

somehow not tempted to see the real thing

christywhisty · 22/06/2007 21:47

It's brilliant.Even hubby loved it and DD was obsessed with it for ages after. The first thing DS said was "when can we see it again"
I think its one of those musicals you either "get" or don't "get"

Is Idina menzal still in it? She has such a powerful presence, the clip doesn't do it justice.

christywhisty · 22/06/2007 21:53

And just another word

Adam Gercia looks gorgeous in those tight trousers!

Gobbledigook · 24/06/2007 20:43

Well I think it looks blardy marvellous and I can't wait - soundtrack is fabbo imo!

Am listening to it right now!

cantsleepwontsleep - db thinks the UK cast is as good as, if not better, than the US one.

I've seen it in london. It was one of the shows Me and Dh went to in our mad dash to see as much we could before the baby came. I really enjoyed it.
The production looked great, it was very slick and the performances were great too (and we had an understudy)
Even Dh who is not a great fan of musicals said he enjoyed it.
I have thought about it since and it's a show I think 'I really enjoyed that' more and more.
I've seen lots of london theatre over the past few years and it would come highly on the list of things I really really enjoyed or have thought about lots since I saw them
others would be The producers, everything at the ROH, Avenue Q, Blackbird, The Crucible, Night of the iguana, Whose afraid of virginia woolf...

Gobbledigook · 24/06/2007 23:36

That's good to hear peachy. Db, not a musical fan either, also rates The Producers.

Am really excited anyway!
