I've had a look at Big Green Gathering and the Green Man. They both seem interesting but I can't afford both.
I like the 'eco' ethos of BGG, though GM is closer to home.
If you have been to either or both I'd appreciate a bit of info, or if you have been to any others in the same vein, please tell me about them.
Cheers EM

Thank you so much. Have you had a look and the End of the Road Festival? The music by the Young Republic was fantastic, I'll be singing all day tomorrow!!

I've been to the BGG several times, always with kids, and have absolutely LOVED it every time. It is big though. Really big. It can take ages to get from, say, the healing field back to camp and then a whole morning to get back to the kids area etc. Plenty of scope for getting lost, and for the kids getting lost, but full of amazing people with inspiring ideas. I come away awestruck at the sheer numbers of, and this is going to sound utterly boak-worthy to the uninitiated, but at the numbers of truly beautiful and concious people.
(Don't let madamez read that last bit whatever you do. )

I don't know about the Green Man. I remember some MNers going last year but I'm not sure how they got on.

Buddahfields is also supposed to be great and every year I vow I'll go but never do. I always look jealously at the people who've been to BF at other festies going on about it and looking like they've had a real eye opening, mind expanding time. They hang out together all full of it.
