Evening classes

Have just signed up for my first evening class- drawing and painting (I haven't done either for about 30 years....)
Am determined to do more with my free time- am married with 2 DC, but they're older now and will need me less and less from now on.
Can anyone recommend any other interesting courses? (am in South London.)
Am also hoping to make some (much needed) new friends as a result.

For quality I highly recommend the City Lit between Holborn and Covent Garden, although it's not so good for making friends (students are mostly working commuters from all over London).

Morley College near Lambeth North is also good.

You'd probably have a greater chance of making friends by going to a local class in something that the same people attend year after year (art or craft is the mostly likely category for that).

Thanks- have seen the city lit website, it looks really good but hadn't thought about where other participants would come from.
