Poetry workshop/exercise6/self-portrait

Write a poem in any style that is a self portrait. Try to describe your nature, your inner self, more than your physical appearance.

I want to try this. Just read a novel by Anne Michael - Fugitive Pieces. She published poetry before writing a novel. I really admired her descriptive language and depth, so want to have a go at the self portrait poem.

Ode to Kif:

There once was a girl called Kiffy
Who sometimes liked to get squiffy
She ate all the pies
and then theorised
'My baby fat's gone in a jiffy'

Will continue to ponder whether my inner self has any greatere depths

Just reviving this thread. Now that school has started again I wonder if anyone has a little more time to get back into the poetry workshop?

In an attempt to stop me from tidying the house whilst i have been told not to lift a finger for two weeks, I am going to have a go at this challenge eventually!!!

Glitterfairy assured me at the Summer Party that she intended to get back into the poetry workshop when the kids went back to school. She had had a vat of wine at the time though
