Help me write poetry?

Can anyone out there help me learn how to write better poetry (or even poetry at all!).

I have written poems since I was little, but always the rhyming, four line kind and I have so many thoughts and feelings but don't know how to encapsulate them into another style.

Baba, I have been running poetry workshop threads within the creative writing club. Do join in. Have a look at some of the exercises we've had a go at and add something of your own to any of them you like. Just because they haven't been posted on for a while, there's no reason not to add to any one you like. I will give you some advice after I read your poem.
