Sounds so 80s. Can an 42-year old have crush on a 26-year old lead singer?

Ready · 18/03/2007 15:43

Loved Brandon Flowers til he grew that awful facial hair.

Tinker · 19/03/2007 21:14

He is stunning and that whole album is on constantly on my iPod Tinks
And I am sober

scootermum · 20/03/2007 20:08

I fancy him more with the facial hair than I did before.Which im aware is probably plain wrong.I love read my mind, best song on the album for me..
Going to see them at v festival even if it costs me about 6 million pounds in babysitting...

NotanOtter · 20/03/2007 20:10

Ready · 20/03/2007 20:18

OOoh, what's wrong with their politics? I just listen to their music? Do tell.

NotanOtter · 20/03/2007 20:19

Ready · 20/03/2007 20:21

Oh, what a shame! How anyone can be pro-Bush is a wonder to me!?

MegaLegs · 20/03/2007 20:22

I love the Killers, surprised to hear they made anti British comments though NAO. They seemed very pro at the Brit Awards.

Marina · 20/03/2007 20:22

Oh, no, that's terrible news
He's young and silly, he'll realise, she says hopefully

NotanOtter · 20/03/2007 20:23

said they were surprised the beatles had written such vibrant songs to say britain was such a grey and dank place

Tinker · 20/03/2007 20:23

"really pro bush and republican"

No In jest and ironically surely? Mind you, he's a Mormon.

Thought they were meant to be a bit obsessed with teh UK?

MamaG · 20/03/2007 20:25

oh I love hte killers, one of my fave bands

scootermum · 20/03/2007 20:25

Is it true that he is a Mormon? That might account for some of his views..(she says with literally no idea what Mormons believe in except polygomy, so please can any Mormons not take offence as none meant)I just thought they might be quite conservative?

NotanOtter · 20/03/2007 20:26

i was horrified....

Marina · 20/03/2007 20:27

Well that bonkers explicit and some would say controversial misogynist director and playwright Neil LaBute is a Mormon too.
Clearly things have changed since the days of Donny and Marie

scootermum · 20/03/2007 20:28

Cross post there. To be fair notanotter the weather has been a bit rubbish lately-and London in Winter is grey and depressing in the extreme IMO..(tries desperately to stick up for the Flowers as he is nice lookin'.Im so shallow)

Tinker · 20/03/2007 20:28

Well, quite, my first love was a Mormon so I'm not biased. Apparently, Brandon is a drinking Mormon though so that's ok. Phew. But then Bush was drinker wasn't he?

OP posts:
scootermum · 20/03/2007 20:29

Who are Donny and Marie?

MamaG · 20/03/2007 20:30

I don't CARE about the politics TBH - I like their music and thats it. If you are serious about music, as I am, this shouldn't concern you.

(and sexy BF of course )
