No reason to ask except that I love him and have never met any other Shuttleworthians before.

I don't watch much tv but when I have seen him,I loved him.

is that the radio show? if so yes - though dp hates it.

Didn't know he was on tv.

I LOVED John Shuttleworth!!! Is he still on? It was only the other day I was thinking about him and his organ - hilarious. I would love to go see him but I don't think he does tours or anything does he?

He always reminded of Frank Sidebottom off kids tv as well.

TheArmadillo · 03/02/2007 22:01

they play the radio show on bbc 7 - you can download it from the bbc radio player.

funnypeculiar · 03/02/2007 22:08

what was the programme on R4 (didn't know he did tv) that was him, his mate and his wife in a shed somewhere?

puffling · 03/02/2007 22:09

I've seen him on tour a few times. I saw him in Manchester a year ago. He did a sort of comeback tour. Don't know what he's up to at the moment but there is a fansite.
While on the topic of comedians, dp introduced me to the delights of Ted Chippington years ago. I thought noone had heard of him, then there was this homage to him on the Culture Show tonight!

I went to see John Shuttleworth live a few years ago. I fell asleep .

The first half was good, but the second was a bit dull tbh (he was being another character - something to do with DIY if I remember correctly). Plus I had a couple of glasses of wine before the show and during the interval...

Yes the DIY character was really boring.I think he was a lumberjack from Goole called Dave Tordoff.
