Could you post a link Jan?

JanH · 18/01/2007 23:34

It does sound great, Cf (I have never been )

A family ticket is £16 so the free day sounds great, although obviously it's after school on a week day so only for locals really - I'm not sure either if booking is required, it may well be, so if anyone here is interested, ring well in advance to find out!

Thank you Jan

NB this is a different place from the R Dahl Gallery in Buckingham here which is also highly recommended I believe (haven't been there either )

I've been to the R Dahl one in Aylesbury and it was fantastic.

We went on a weekend when they were celebrating being open for 10 years. So they had lots of activities, crafts, drama etc and all the kids were given a free book & a loaf of bread (the day was sponsored by Warburtons)
They also were charging the prices from 10 years ago.

It is aimed for at Key Stage 1 & 2 children. Mine aged 5-11 loved it.

Thanks for info JanH. Would love to take kids but am too far away for an after school thing and cant take them out early as I've been pushing Head to make more of World Book Day.
I've arranged an Author to visit the school that day.

We visited a couple of years ago. DD (then aged 7) loved it, and DS (11) enjoyed it too. They spent ages making umpalumpas. I can also recommend the pub down the street in Great Missenden - great food and very welcoming to the children.
