Jordan and Peter Andre

Well yes, this is probably not the best place for this but, I thought I would be ironic.

I have just spent the last 5 minutes holding my sides after reading this reviews of their new album on Amazon. What is more, it has got 5 out of 5 stars. Brings a whole new meaning to irony methinks!

The reviews are so spot on like this one:
"Think of Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. Think of Iggy Pop and Debbie
Harry. Think of Freddie Mercury and Monserrat Caballe. And now forget all of
them, because the new benchmark in duets has finally arrived. Here we have
two people of such staggering talent, of such bewildering cultural
importance, of such dizzying MAGIC that they just blow you away."

Anyway, for those of you looking for a good laugh, here is the link.

Just wanted to say that their reasons for making the album is admirable but I'm not sure the same can be said of the final product.

Anyway, has anyone bought it and if so, what is your verdict?

I haven't bought it but have made plans to. I heard them perform one of the tracks on This Morning last week and from what I could tell the album should be quite good.

Simply the Pest's review will have you in stitches!

Cheesecake, don't let cynics like me influence you. I think the album is selling well as it is no.51 in the Amazon rankins for popular music.

I have not heard it but it got a pretty good write-up in the Sunday Times

geekgrrl · 29/11/2006 12:32

PMSL at the reviews

moonshine · 29/11/2006 12:33

It said one of the songs will be one of our guilty pleasures in 2007.

Bananaknickers · 29/11/2006 12:44

I think they are really sweet. I reckon this album will do well too

nailpolish · 29/11/2006 12:45

they are giving all money it makes to charity

I think Jordan must get a prize for the most changed persona after having children and finding someone she loves

speedymama · 29/11/2006 14:01

I hate to admit it but she actually comes across as likeable. She is a strong woman and a devoted mother and for that, I admire her. Not enough to buy the album though!

I really like Jordan, and Peter's okay too. I was interested to see this thread and yes it is ironic to post it in the culture section, as I have been wondering just who is going to buy their album?? It's like those awful autobiographies you see by people like Jodie Marsh. Can't see it somehow.

ironic

I love Jordan too - don't know why as I hate most celebs. Something about her I guess.

MissMistletoe · 12/12/2006 10:01

I think what's really likeable about Jordan is that she's real (well, apart from the obvious!!) She's not one of these fake celebs, what you see is what you get. She's a damn hard worker, a shrewd business woman, and a great Mum. She copes with Harvey amazingly and seems to take it all in her stride. She doesn't have an army of nannies to palm him off on, her Mum is her support. The baby, Junior, is gorgeous.
