Cultured babies?

Hi,

We live in Pimlico and have a baby girl aged 4 months. I would love to meet up with other Mums and babies to go around what London has to offer in terms of cultural pursuits. I am self-employed and have a background in Art, Museums and Languages.

Hi Yvette. I live in that area (ish) too. Why don't you start off at the Tate as it's local? I think they have mother and toddler mornings there- though it's a while since I've needed those as my twins are now 7- and you might meet some like minded mums. Have you discovered the Pimlico toy library yet (Lupus Street)? I think they have lots of links with arts and music events. My boys got to have a go on some instruments some members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra brought in, many moons ago and I think they were running a lot of art stuff in conjuction with Tate Britain at one point. Even if they are having an off day on the arts front they are v nice there and it's a good way to meet a range of parents. Welcome to mumsnet btw.

Yvette, I would have loved an invitation like that when my son was small. I found going to places where other mothers were likely to be (a postnatal exercise class was the best) was a great starting point for making friends.
