I love love loved it..it's the best west end show I've ever been to..
Even more trashy by having rose and cheese straws in the interval..lol

But then we saw the film..argh!
no good

The only good film of a musical made recently is Chicago...better than the stage version imo

oh dear - I liked the film. Maybe I should see the show.

babyonboard · 01/06/2006 15:22

maybe the film sucks as it's too true to the script of the stage version..it doen't carry as well on film..
chicago was great as it took the best bits of the play but added some original scripting and scenes..

So let me get this right:

It started as a film about a stageshow.

Which became a stage show of the film of the stageshow.

Which became a film of the show of the film of the stageshow.

Chicken and egg anyone?

Can't beat the 1968 original.

My grandparents saw it at the weekend and said it was the best show they had been to. they have been to loads

your grandpa was right! we have been to most.taken advantage of living in london and getting cheap tickets back when we were students.lol

but..the original film is very good! imo the stage show is better..but the remake on film really sucks..
