Sorry, I haven't been, but it sounds like something I'd enjoy. When/where is it on?

SingSongMummy · 21/06/2013 14:42

BBC4 7:30pm every night. Some amazing young talent!

Thanks - will watch tonight.

There's and active thread in AIBU about (over)use of vibrato by the way.

Hello, late to the party, DD playing up. Wa hey Cardiff! Love Daniela Argentian's voice and her death stare.

SingSongMummy · 21/06/2013 20:33

I hope Daniela goes through - fab voice. I liked this Korean but the Handel didn't really suit him so well.

And the award for best use of sad Tra la la in a song goes to Bizet.

thatsalovelyhat · 21/06/2013 20:37

Cringing a bit at the interviews.

HumphreyCobbler · 21/06/2013 20:37

Ooh, thanks, I am missing it

Watched the last two nights.

I realise I have no ear as they all sound so wonderful to me..

SingSongMummy · 21/06/2013 20:38

Quite excited about this Italian, although the dress is slightly worrying...

SingSongMummy · 21/06/2013 20:50

Bit disappointed Sad . Still hope the Mezzo wins this round (for the dress too)

She left me oddly unmoved. Ooh! And one of the critics has just said the same thing!

SingSongMummy · 21/06/2013 20:51

Didn't believe a word of the Butterfly, I think she was busy concentrating on getting the notes out unfortunately!

Daniela Mack gets my vote - not literally as I can't be arsed to do phone votes - but I missed the first two.

thatsalovelyhat · 21/06/2013 20:55

What's all this Apprentice style nonsense?

Any views on the song prize contenders none the less?

thatsalovelyhat · 21/06/2013 20:58

Blimey. Was Teresa Romano on sparkling form earlier in the contest?

SingSongMummy · 21/06/2013 20:59

Can't believe they put Teresa through - would much rather have had the Portuguese soprano from the other night!

Song prize should be interesting, fingers crossed the English chap has a half decent programme...

Top programming BBC4, following up with Fleetwood Mac documentary. Nice to see the billboard with John Mayall on it - who joins Puccini in the small surviving collection of tapes in my car.

thatsalovelyhat · 22/06/2013 16:47

Will be missing Cardiff tonight as am going out with DH - babysitter and everything.

SingSongMummy · 22/06/2013 19:38

Aaaah, have a lovely night!

Stonking good start with Jamie Barton tonight. Listening on the radio. Was feeling a bit low, already feeling better.

SingSongMummy · 23/06/2013 21:19

Both mezzos were amazing. I seriously have no idea how the panel will choose between them.

OP posts:
thatsalovelyhat · 23/06/2013 21:54

C'mon, c'mon, just tell us who won.

thatsalovelyhat · 23/06/2013 22:00

Jamie Barton, well done her.

thatsalovelyhat · 23/06/2013 22:02

But I loved Daniela Mack.
