So that this doesn't dissapear off the Chat board, thought the rest of you could see what us bored souls did last night - mainly WHIZZ.

See this thread for the build up btw.

Mumsnet Wonderland

Door bell rings we?re not listening
in the glass wine is glistening
A beautiful sight we're happy tonight
Typing in a Mumsnet wonderland

Gone away to a meet up or sat here withour feet up
We make up cr*p songs as we go along
Typing in a Mumsnet wonderland

Mumsnetters of many many nations
Are watching all the namechangers like hawks
And over there in active conversations
Tthey're arguing on feeding babe with norks

Later on we'll go moony
as we dream of George Clooney
And face unafraid
Parenting mistakes we've made
Typing in a Mumsnet wonderland

Parps aplenty echo through the night air
but even if we know we shouldn't post
we can't help ourselves and we'll be right there
For mumsnet is the place we love the most

Gone away is the figure
Here to stay something bigger
We can learn to kickbox
or drink wine and eat chocs
wobbling in a mumsnet winterland

You need to read the other thread so you can see how Whizz put it all together - there were quite a few of us trying to get something into it!

OP posts:
Whizzz · 22/11/2005 19:58

I can't take all the credit - it was a team effort !

Whizzz · 23/11/2005 18:54

To the tune of Away in a Manger....

I need a new travel cot but which one to buy?
I?ll ask those on Mumsnet which ones they have tried
The mums in the ?Convos? will guide me the way
So over the odds I will not pay

The children are yelling, the babys awake
but Mum is still posting no notice she takes
I love you dear Mumsnet; I can?t say goodbye
and I?ll still be posting until morning is nigh.

So guide me dear Mumsnet I ask you to stay
close by me for ever, I won?t go away.
Bless all our dear children and give us advice,
About weeing and pooing and smacking and lice.

God rest ye merry, Mumsnetters
Let nothing you dismay
Remember, to buy batteries,
To use on Christmas day
To save us all from Mega strops
When Children go astray
O tidings of Argos and joy,
Argos and joy
O tidings of Argos and joy.

In Hospital, or own bedroom,
This blessed Babe was born
And oh so many stitches made
Upon this blessed morn
The which the Mother scathingly
Did nothing take in scorn
O Sitting on rubber rings gives joy,
Comfort and joy
O ice cubes give comfort and joy.

Now to the Lord sing praises,
All gifts have now been bought
And with true love and brotherhood
All Mumdnetters have sought;
This massive pile of plastic crap
To pack away mort fraught
O tidings of Argos and joy,
Argos and joy
O tidings of Argos and joy

I did one last year as well but can't find it

MerryWays · 11/12/2005 21:32
