nailpolish · 27/10/2005 13:59

hope i look that good when im her age

moondog · 27/10/2005 14:11

Oh I like that swishy star thing!
(She does look good but frankly am more impressed with your dh's work. How do one do all that stuff?? I'm such a Luddite-mid 50s would have been my ideal era.)

suzywong · 27/10/2005 14:13

dunno how he did it, I tend to glaze over a bit and make encouraging noises

Have you launched the media player and heard the song ' I've got a life'? it really is fantastic, "proper" singing and music.

Ooooh, I love the Eurythmics. I'm going to have to get their new CD, as my Greatest Hits CD is covered in scratches, coffee mug stains and car fluff

Great website too - your clever dh!

moondog · 27/10/2005 14:17

lol at glazing over and emitting sounds. I do a lot of that (mind you I'm sure he does too!)

Will listen once I've got my Luddite head around these blocksof plastic in front of me that I believe are called speakers..?

bran · 27/10/2005 14:17

How old is she? She doesn't actually look that much older than she did when I was a teenager (which is a bloody long time ago ).

suzywong · 27/10/2005 14:21

HI chonky, how's dd?

Annie is 51 next month, dave is 53 I think

OP posts:
teeavee · 27/10/2005 14:36

come on, her face is botoxville

suzywong · 27/10/2005 14:39

I have to say it isn't

I know her mother and her good look genes run in the family. I know her too and she does have fine lines and wrinkles and great bone stucture to hang them from... I think...although that was a few years ago now. I'll get DH to have a good peer at her when he sees her next week

Dave looks his age he just hides it behind that Eric Clapton beard

OP posts:
teeavee · 27/10/2005 14:44

she's certainly been blessed with better loooks than Dave - but i'm not convinced it's all natural!
does she have any kids herself?

nice website btw

OrribleOliveoil · 27/10/2005 14:56

I think she looks fab but hate the music. Sorry!

Didn't he have some bizarre disorder that meant he was unhappy because he had everything he wanted (I paraphrase).

teeavee · 27/10/2005 15:03

he obviously never wanted a chin much

Marina · 27/10/2005 15:07

I think on so many fronts she is such a positive role model for women, I have always idolised Annie Lennox (the Tourists were the must-see, must-listen band for my teenage gang of wannabe artistes). Have to say have always been rather less keen on Dave. Is what he had Anhedonia?
So you've outed your poptastic connections then Suze, I was going to accuse you of it being Haircut 100.
If I send your dh a video of ds and his "band" "singing" their hit of the future Aliens on Toast, will he work his magic on them too?

aloha · 27/10/2005 15:08

Great website. I used to love the Eurythmics. My era, sadly.
She has two daughters and no Botox IMO - her face moves too much.

teeavee · 27/10/2005 15:11

lol at her face moves too much!

I have a real soft spot for 'Swwet Dreams' as it was the v first song I played on a jukebox - in Bala!
I have recently acquired a great Welsh rap song sung over pirated samples of Sweet Dreams, which is excellent...(don't tell annie though)

suzywong · 27/10/2005 15:14

I'm not sure about the paradise syndrome thing, he's pretty happy now, he has four kids

Oh yes Marina, we could certainly do something for your dh's band, have his people call our people

OP posts:
moondog · 27/10/2005 15:19

teeavee · 27/10/2005 15:25

dwn im! it's on a cd called 'Y Lladron 2'
