Ballet DVDs?

The DDs (5 and 3) absolutely loved the Birmingham Royal Ballet production of Cinderella that was on TV over Christmas. They have now seen it about 10 times (and I must say, I love it too). It had an introduction from the director and some bits behind the scenes, which I think made it more accessible for them - and the costumes etc are sumptuous, which obviously helps. I've been looking for DVDs they might like, but the choice is over-whelming and they tend to be quite £££ so don't want to waste the money. Any recommendations anyone? Was thinking the Nutcracker or Sleeping Beauty maybe. And proper ballet - not your Angelina/Barbie nonsense...

Thank you for that suggestion, Marina - interesting. Would not have thought of Stravinsky. Anyone else? (Love the name. Must say I am dottydecrescens today and would rather be in bed!)

I really like the Beatrix Potter ballet on DVD. It's incredible how they dance in those costumes.

Getting over a nasty cold. But more wanting to hide under the duvet from the weather and work. And discovering that trying to say even half of that in Latin is way beyond me...I have (half) a Classics degree, but it feels like a long time ago. Oh no - brain rot. More reason to feel gloomy...
