This is following on from jura's recommendation for half-term week (which I will copy in here )

Anyone know anything about Children's Classic Concerts ? - link is to one they're doing at Barbican in November, which looks appealing - these things always do the Sorcerer's Apprentice, but somehow I don't get tired of it.

(Do you really think they mean Fairy "Tails"?)

It does look nice, thanks Binkie...apart from the massed kazoo accompaniment idea
Of course they mean Tails. Some bubble-headed 20 something copywriter's idea of a child-friendly "joke"

goodness batters, thanks for the warning. Booked as soon as I saw it and have got one of the last few blocks of four seats.

Anyone else, quick!

We have these 3 times a year, they are excellent. Went to one with Floella and Peter and the Wolf years ago when dd was 18 months and she kept whispering "pee-itty dee-ess" all the way through (Floella had a red Carmen Miranda-y number on). Highly recommended

That reminds me of dd (then four-and-a-bit) goggling at Sir Ian McKellen's costume changes as Widow Twankey ... "she's got another dress" - the green/pink Pucci creation (with matching turban & fishnets) at last struck her completely dumb.

Such fun seeing it through their eyes.

Gosh I remember Floella doing these when I was a kid!
