Is it like the film? I love that film

auntymandy · 02/10/2005 09:13

A bit different, but obviously similar!
Felt it made the culture difference better than film! Worth seeing though.

Im in Birmingham. Will look in the theatre guides.

Nightynight · 02/10/2005 09:56

is it based on a book, or was it written as a play?
who wrote it originally, does anyone know?

serah · 02/10/2005 10:07

here you go NightyNight!

Nightynight · 02/10/2005 10:23

thank you Serah!
I was a little bit puzzled, because I have just read a book by T C Boyle (an American novellist) and East is East was listed as one of his other books, in the front.
I guess it must be a different book then. But it is an unusual title!
