Mine are the Lord of the Rings Trilogy but I would also have:

Cape Fear
The Shining
Twin Peaks (Fire Walk with me)
Thelma and Louise
Shirley Valentine

Reading this list has me thinking that I like Shlogcky type films-this is by no means a definitive list and gets changed all the time but these came to mind.
I think I'm going to get some comments re misogyny but I did enjoy all of these films, subject matter aside!

Mind you,Thelma,Louise and Shirley-hardly woamn haters,eh!

Dirty Dancing
Riding in Cars with Boys
There's Something About Mary
The Shining
Misery
Four Weddings and a Funeral
Muriel's Wedding
The Birds
Psycho
Cold Mountain
The Full Monty

I thought I would struggle to find five (I'm not a big film buff), now I find I can't narrow it down!

MrsSpoon · 26/09/2005 13:49

Oh and Evita, just love Antonio Banderas in it, he plays such a cheeky chappy.

lunavix · 26/09/2005 13:50

I could go on here

Boondock Saints
True Romance
Angel Baby
Edward Scissorhands (well anything with Johnny Depp, willy wonka, pirates etc)
South Park
Shrek 1 & 2
Nightmare before Christmas
Lock Stock
The Crow
Bad Boys 2
Moulin Rouge (odd one out I know)

waterfalls · 26/09/2005 13:51

Me, Myself and Irene (very funny, love jim Carey)

lunavix · 26/09/2005 13:51

oh and a really old movie called the music man.

MrsSpoon · 26/09/2005 13:55

Oh yeah, Pirates of the Carribean, must watch that again.

Enid · 26/09/2005 13:55

off the top of my head, films I would be happy to sit and watch endlessly:

The Deer Hunter
The Philadelphia Story
When Harry Met Sally
Jaws
The Shining

Marina · 26/09/2005 14:04

Some Like It Hot
All About Eve
The Maltese Falcon
The 400 Blows
Burnt by the Sun
If any of these are televised, I just have to watch them. But I found it hard to narrow it down too. I used to go to the cinema twice weekly at least and camp out at the London Film Festival pre-kids

MrsSpoon · 26/09/2005 14:09

Oh, Ice Cold in Alex.

Face/off-Love Nicolas Cage
Bruce Almighty-loving Jim Carrey and Morgan Freeman in this
Priscilla, Queen of the Desert-another camp classic!
Dogma- still trying to get my head around the fact that Alanis Morrisette is God!!!
