Mine are the Lord of the Rings Trilogy but I would also have:

Cape Fear
The Shining
Twin Peaks (Fire Walk with me)
Thelma and Louise
Shirley Valentine

Reading this list has me thinking that I like Shlogcky type films-this is by no means a definitive list and gets changed all the time but these came to mind.
I think I'm going to get some comments re misogyny but I did enjoy all of these films, subject matter aside!

Mind you,Thelma,Louise and Shirley-hardly woamn haters,eh!

I loved The Cook ...film-great cannibal scenes-Fogot Shallow Grave too-did anyone remember a film called Sante Sangre? Was a french film I seem to remember about a circus-very weird! I used to love going to The Scala cinema in Islington and watching strange films! Does anyone know if it is still there? Haven't been to Islington for over 15 years-usesd to drink in a pub called the something Frog too!
Sorry, reminiscing about the times when I could go to the cinema whenever I wanted-I only manage to go once or twice a year now!

Can you tell I don't get out to the cinema much these days? The best films I saw in the last few years were Donnie Darko and Fight Club, but as I've only seen them once I can't tell if they're 'favourites' yet.
