Mine are the Lord of the Rings Trilogy but I would also have:

Cape Fear
The Shining
Twin Peaks (Fire Walk with me)
Thelma and Louise
Shirley Valentine

Reading this list has me thinking that I like Shlogcky type films-this is by no means a definitive list and gets changed all the time but these came to mind.
I think I'm going to get some comments re misogyny but I did enjoy all of these films, subject matter aside!

Mind you,Thelma,Louise and Shirley-hardly woamn haters,eh!

Schindler's List
The Sound of Music
Breakfast at Tiffany's
Withnail and I
Truely, Madly, Deeply

and Life is Beautiful, and Galipolli, and anything with Andrew McCarthy from the 80's for some cheesy teen nostalgia (St Elmo's Fire, Pretty in Pink, Catholic Boys ...the shame, I know)
Sorry, that was more than five.
