Tiddly Proms

Has anyone been to a Tiddly Proms Performance?

I was looking at one which is coming to our local arts centre. It says that it is aimed at under 5s, do you think it would be too "babyish" for my older two (who are just turned 6 and almost 8). My youngest is 4 and so fits into the age range, the older two aren't all that grown up (they enjoy things like The Gruffalo and Bob the Man in the Moon on stage).

We haven't got a Family Prom here otherwise I would take them to that.

Do you think it would be a waste of money taking the older two?

That looks fab! What a shame we live no where near Cardiff. I would take them all.

We live 2hrs from Cardiff, but it is going round smaller theatres/arts centres in Wales too.

My instinct is to take them, there isn't an awful lot of opportunities for children to experience music performances here (rural area). I myself thought that it would be fun for them all, but a friend with a 7 year old looked horrified as it was "for pre-schoolers!" and therefore too babyish.

Ooh, we are going to N Wales in a couple of weeks, I'll look and see if is going up north.

Ignore your friend about this, you know your children better than her!
