Royal mail leaving post on floor in building

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this but here goes!

I was recently the victim of identity theft. Don't wanna go into too much detail, however the lady in the fraud department at the bank seemed to suspect that as I live in flats, someone has managed to get into the post somehow with Sticky fingers and stole our details. Fast forward a little bit and I have come to find out that Royal Mail has just started dumping the post for the entire building on the floor instead of in our individual mail boxes. Not sure how long this has been going on but one of the other residents said that when his wife sees this she has been putting the mail away correctly. I have now seen this 3 times and have complained each time to royal mail and made block manager aware who has also complained to royal mail. Each time I have received a generic message about we have taken this seriously and let the local delivery office know. Today I have sent a scathing email that it's simply not enough -either investigate or change the postman delivering, so waiting to see what they reply to that. Not sure if this is considered illegal to just dump the post on the floor? Who do I go to about this now? Police? Do I go face to face to the local delivery office? Please help and advise!

I'd get on to your local delivery office.

I don’t know if this would be a sledge hammer to crack a walnut, but could you contact your local councillor or MP. The bank have told you this is likely cause of your identity theft and Royal Mail are doing diddly squat about it. It shouldn’t be the way, but perhaps a bit of pressure from someone ‘important’ may get them to tighten up their expectations on your postman or swap them over to a more diligent one.
