Apologies, I am not a “Victim of Crime” however unable to see my topic on list.
Do any of you experts on here have any idea how much a “lawyer” letter costs now?

That isn’t a crime and a cease and desist likely won’t do a lot because defamation is a very high bar to meet. You can contact local solicitors, but it’ll be charged at the hourly rate. Probably minimum £600 plus VAT.
