Hosted something at home (not close friends of mine but linked to my partner) and a valuable and sentimental item was out and visible (my fault as was busy getting ready so forgot to put it somewhere safe). This item is now missing and I have looked everywhere for it. I am not sure what to do and have this horrible sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. It is making me doubt myself and I also feel like an awful person for thinking that someone might have taken it. Just hoping that yet another thorough search will find it but not feeling optimistic. I feel a bit sick to be honest.
