So my Ex husband has been charged with coercive and controlling behaviour, and now the case is going to the Crown court for a trial. So just wondering if anyone has been through a similar situation. What to expect during a trial? Also, does anyone knows the CPS conviction rate for this type of crime? I appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you

Going through similar but extended bail is likely for mine, he has a few more charges too so I guess they need more time.
I hope it goes well - did you have evidence against him?

@Zoeywelly Luckily, I did have a few messages where he apologised for the abuse but didn't have any medical records to support it. I'm hopeful that Jury will see my truth. I'm just so shocked that he can just plead not guilty with so much confidence. Do you know which court your case will go to for trial? Crown court or magistrates court? Also, I hope you are getting all the right support, feel free to message if you have any further questions. Stay Strong! The worst is over :)

They often change their plea when they see witnesses attend. This can be as late as during the trial.

they thereby lose their early plea discount

Hey, hope your case is progressing well. I believe conviction rates for this type of offence are around 75% once they've actually been charged.
