Photos of rape

Dd was raped last year. We found out months later. She informed the school who told us. Two days go, I discovered that photos have been circulating of the assault. School were aware. Social services were aware. A boy has shown the photos to dd. I am devastated and beyond livid that no-one informed us. It is obviously a criminal offence to have sexual images of a minor. Has anyone else notified the police months post an event? She will be livid with me but I cannot stand by whilst people share these disgusting images.

Well I think that circulating the images in itself is a crime, so you would have grounds for notifying the police about that. Was the rape prosecuted? What happens in relation to that depends on whether the case has been heard or not, I would have thought.

And Flowers for your DD (and you)

I am so sorry this has happened to your DD.
You must notify the Police - this is a serious criminal offence and the police will help you. Both the rape and circulation of the images will be investigated. Please contact the police today, your DD is young and needs support.

Thank you. Rape was not prosecuted and case is closed as she was (and remains) too traumatised. Will contact police. Thank you for the advice

Contact police it's against the law and evidence of an assault put a complaint into education board about school and one into social services for not informing u this boy is seriously disturbed and should be on register if he thinks he can get away with it he will continue to act like this

Any images shared of an underage girl online(worldwide internet law states 18 as underage) is a criminal offence and child pornography
It’s also an offence to send indecent images of someone without their consent aka revenge porn

Go to police you’ve got a case

HUGS to you and your daughter

Contact the police. The images are illegal and just horrifying that people are sending them round. I’m so sorry for what’s happened. I hope something is done about it.
