I feel nervous about posting here and have name changed. Looking for some advice even though I am in a different country (I'm English, dh another nationality and we live in his home country)
My dh has done something very stupid and will be prosecuted for a tax offence. It is likely he will get home detention if he's lucky.
Has anyone on here been through this? I'm scared.
I'm also not sure what to expect.
What is it going to be like? What are the realities of home detention?
This was a huge shock and I'm still processing it. Please be kind. I am looking for support. I don't feel I can talk to friends and family about this.
Our marriage is under pressure but I want to support him.
Any advice and support much appreciated.

It depends on the country's definition of home detention. Is it house arrest, ie at home all day or s Home detention curfew which means he must be in at a certain time?

It's difficult to advise without knowing the country, their legal system and penalties.

In the UK there is a system of electronic tagging and curfews.

As it is your husband's home country can he or his legal representation not explain to you what home detention will entail? You say he will be lucky to get this as a punishment so there is a possibility of him being jailed?
