How long does it take to get an incident report.

Nearly 2 weeks ago a lorry drove into me. I didn't stop at the time as I only thought they'd knocked my wing mirror off but once I did stop I noticed the damage was much more substantial. I reported it to the police that day but I've not had an incident report as yet. Anyone know how long these things take?

They don't send you a report..... What do you want from them? Are they even investigating such a small damage RTC?

Your insurance company should follow it up with the police if they want details of you're making a claim.

It isn't small damage, the insurance company have written off my car. The policeman I spoke to said that an incident report would be e-mailed to me, that's why I was expecting it.

I've never heard of the police sending an incident report, and I only left the police 2 years ago!

Anyway, contact the officer.
