Experiences of digital first publishers for unagented submissions

I was wondering if anyone had any experiences or thoughts to share about getting traditionally published through one of the new digital first publishing houses, like storm, bookouture or simon stream. Im drawn to the quickness of the process. They take unagentee submissions and give you a yay or nay within 2 weeks to a month. But no advances, 50% royalties instead.

Quite a few authors have done well out of it. I'd be tempted! Royalties are decent.

I am with a digi first publisher (although I do have an agent). Some are better than others and whilst yes you don’t get an advance you usually get better royalties. The most important thing for me, who moved from a ‘big 5’ trad publisher is that they often do much more marketing than a trad publisher does so readers are actually seeing my books.
