Hi,
Has anyone heard of it? Used it?

I'd never heard of it until yesterday, when I saw a social media post about the competition they are running with Hachette.

I found this article, which explains its intent. It sounds like a good idea, but it would need all industry professionals on board for it to work. The fact that Hachette is involved does give it kudos. The comp is free, so I will probably enter.

Libraro Aims to Solve the Slush Pile Problem

The U.K. startup has launched a blockchain-powered platform that aims to ease manuscript discovery by connecting unpublished authors with publishing professionals and readers while providing engagement data to the industry.

Thanks for answering. I looked at it for similar reasons, but I think it takes your work, posts it and readers read and vote on it. Does this seem correct? I don't want my work to be 'published' until it is published, iyswim.

I think it publishes the first 3 chapters. I started looking into entering yesterday and it is a bit odd. You have to design your own cover, which threw me a bit! I'm a bit unsure about it too. The comp closes in Feb, so I think I might sign up as a reader for now and see what happens. Also, my book is lit fic, so I doubt it's a good fit for Hachette, their books look to be mostly commercial.
