Do any of you have experience of entering or winning this competition? I have been shortlisted, but now recall there was an entrance fee, and am wondering if everyone who enters is shortlisted?! Hammond House competition

Most literary prizes have an entry fee so i wouldn't worry about that. I hadn't heard of HH but I've had a look at the website and it doesn't look like a scam (albeit the short lists of winners are quite long). I'd say congratulations, you've done really well Smile

I won in 2017/18/19 or something - was all legit. Went to their launch party and have a copy of the book I'm in. Lincs I think.
Actually I have two - I placed another time as well. Short stories.
It is a thick anthology though!
But go for it.
