Waiting times for agent with full MS?

The answer to this one is probably "it depends" but I am interested to hear what other people's experiences are.

I've had 2 full MS requests from 37 submissions (don't think I'll quite manage to hit the "aim for 50 rejections" mark, although I am trying!). One got back to me within 2 weeks and said it wasn't for them. I sent the full MS to the second one just under a month ago. Said agent was very lovely and enthusiastic about the extract and said they had ideas already, would I be up for meeting, but I've not heard back

To those of you who've had full MS requests (congratulations), how long were you waiting for a decision?

It's impossible to not excited, but also impossible to not spiral! I'd love to hear other people's experiences.

Congratulations on getting a full MS request.

Is there any guidance on the agency website about the time in which they hope to respond? If not - and, if you can bear it - I'd wait a couple more weeks and write a breezy email saying you were really pleased about their initial enthusiasm and had they had any thoughts about the full MS? Keep it light, nothing that could be interpreted as grumpiness that they hadn't responded.

I'd also keep submitting because if another agent requests the MS, then you've got an even better excuse to get on touch with the first one.

Good luck.

I had several full requests over the years before I finally landed my agent. The turnaround time varied enormously from a few days to a month or more (not including one full MS sent in November 2019 which I never heard anything further on - any day now, I'm sure!). I know it's really hard to wait, but it certainly hasn't been long enough to give up on it yet.
