Writing festivals - thoughts?

Interested in any thoughts or experiences of writing festivals and if there are any in particular that people would recommend? Interested in attending one so wanted to get some thoughts first! For context I've just written my first manuscript and started subbing but am very new to everything and could use some help!

Specifically wondering about the Jericho London festival of writing. It's a fairly new festival but looks quite helpful but I'm interested in thoughts. I live in London so would actually be a cheaper conference for me to attend in terms of travel and accommodation

I was looking at this. Would love to know how it goes. I would be nervous, as if I shouldn't be there.
