Is anyone on Substack?

I went on a workshopping weekend recently and several people there suggested I join Substack and serialise parts of my unpublished novel. I've had a look at it and I'm not sure if I fully get it.

Is anyone else on it and if so, what do you use it for?

If anyone wanted to DM me a link to their Substack account as well that would be great.

I'm not on Substack but was hoping to start a newsletter on it soon. But the whole thing overwhelms and confuses me to be honest, so I can't help you but am interested in any responses you get!

Substack seems to have taken off a bit recently so might be worth a look.

You can publish long form posts, which are blogs/newsletter type content, but also more conversational 'notes' which is a bit more like Twitter - you can share images and videos with notes too.

Just looking into this myself. I like the idea of bringing back old school newsletters so people can keep up with who they like without all the ads, arguments and weird algorithms of social media.

I know this is a bit old but only just found this forum...I am just getting started on - Beth Kempton is running a free course on using it at the moment. Her stuff is great and I'm doing this.
