Short story competitions

Does anyone know a good site that lists short story competitions? I used to use one but it doesn't seem to exist any more.

I want to start writing again and short stories seem manageable (overwhelmed at the thought of starting a novel). I find competitions give me a bit of motivation, especially if they have a theme.

I have taken part a few times and gone to semi-finals twice. You get feedback from 3 judges. It's really good.

I like Writing Forum magazine (I think it's called) which has lists of competitions to enter.

Thanks, that looks interesting too, I like the theme idea and having a short deadline. Not sure I really do 'genre' but I'll give it a go.

Had a look at this and entered both the flash and short story competitions. Hopefully the combination of not wanting to waste the money I've paid, short deadlines, feedback, theme, and prizes will motivate me!

The Mslexia newsletter (you don't have to be a subscriber) sends through writing opportunities. Sometimes a bit close to the deadline but worth joining their mailing list.
