One-off book

Hi
I’d like to give my daughter a book written by me as a gift. Does anyone know if it is possible to get a one-off book published easily? If yes, any recommendations of companies that do this?
Thank you.

Do you actually want it published, or just a nice copy printed? if the latter then I think you could just Google for hard cover book printers. I don't think it's terribly expensive.

Thank you Cranarc for the suggestion.

I did this - the issue can be formatting the files to get the book to look nice once it is printed. This has to be done in a specific way. I'd say it may be worth paying a bit more to get a UK printer (the cheapest are in the far east but they can be harder to deal with because of time zones and things). If it's a novel, search 'print on demand' and that should give you some suppliers. If you want to a picture book and only a couple of copies then you might be better off with a product from Vistaprint or a consumer print place like that - cheap, efficient, and they are usually happy if you upload PDF's of your artwork.

Lulu are good for print on demand, and inexpensive.
